Felix Morel
Felix Morel is a musician and collage artist based in Montreal. He has played drums in many of the Montreal weirdo underground's best bands including Fly Pan Am, Panopticon Eyelids and Et Sans. He has designed album covers and posters for Shalabi Effect, Fly Pan Am, Acid Mothers Temple, Goa and The Unireverse. His black and white medical xerox collages/drawings have appeared in underground comics anthologies and music fanzines like aMAZEzine, Mr. Swiz and 106U. His current work involves magazine cutouts precisely arranged into colorful and surreal fantasies. These mix technological, sexual and often gory imagery in the form of album sleeves for imaginary records. Morel's idiosyncratic process is fueled by glue fumes, the obsessive and meticulous act of cutting and his record collection.
